Weekly Weather May 12th, 2008

We face two very important turning points in the week ahead as both the Sun and Venus come to square the Nodal axis and Neptune. They also set off the 22 degree Taurus where Jupiter stationed at 22 Capricorn, as Neptune and Uranus are hanging out in the heavens. Take your thoughts back to May 2000 and the project or life direction change you made that spring when Jupiter joined with Saturn. This week, the nodes square that degree as the Sun and Venus move into 23 Taurus and set it off across time and space. You will face a choice about that May 2000 decision this week or perhaps have a reminder from the heavens that lets you see how far you‘ve come.

Make sure to choose wisely. Choose with love. Choose with your (and their if someone else is involved) highest, best, most evolutionary, and positive intentions in mind. Planets making squares to the Nodes remind us that we DO HAVE CHOICES about how we want to live our lives and travel the world during our short journey on Planet Earth .

Last Sunday, my friend Deborah shared a Youtube clip with me about “Choosing Love”. Every time I’ve watched the clip over the past week, I’ve sat at my computer with many, many tears streaming down my face. I know I am releasing something very profound, final, finished and quite, quite old as I watch all those tears drip on my keyboard and arms. Heck, of course I am releasing ~ look at that Finger of God last weekend and all the shifts in energy over the past few weeks!?! All the 22s asking us to evolve to our mastery. We’ve all been releasing stuff ~ old stuff or former beliefs that no longer serve us or how we want to create our life.

Release, release, release! Choose wisely! Choose with love!

When I sat down to write my column this week, I realized that the “Choose Love” video reflected the choices we are each going to be asked to make during the week ahead when Venus and the Sun square the nodal axis and send energy to the various planets at the 22s. We are going to face a choice about our decision in May of 2000. We are going to face a choice about picking between fear or love.

There is always a choice ~ a higher or lower choice ~ to go with the energy when squares take place. So choose the higher form of the energy. Choose with love. Choose love. Push yourself towards choosing love for yourself and the other person, even if you are afraid. Copy and paste the link into your browser and watch it before you face your choice. Nothing like a cosmic Youtube coincidence to remind us to choose love. Remind yourself that you live in a numinous and very alive world. Everything is connected to everything else. And the universe IS talking to you IF you pay attention. The purpose of life is to help you grow and fulfill your soul’s desire for love and your purpose for incarnating. If you choose love and with love, you can‘t go wrong.

Now IF your choice involves letting go of something, send it off with love. You needn’t be ashamed, fearful or angry about letting it go. Send it off with love. Know that as it goes, it served a wonderful purpose of helping you get conscious, clear and it helped you grow. And now that it is released and gone, it creates space, openness and opportunity for something new and wonderful to arrive in your life. Cry tears if you need to. But be happy too. Hold it in your heart. Know that it is part of your path that you had the experience. That the experience taught you how much you needed to learn. That experience shaped you and offered you something your soul needed. And that if that experience ends now, please know that it came to an end because you face that next choice or a new direction for your life.

Besides, it might not actually leave ~ it (and you) have an opportunity to get even clearer between now and when Saturn passes 8:34 Virgo on August 7^th. Until August 7^th , we aren’t 100% sure it is finished, finished. Saturn has to leave his shadow for us to say it is completely wrapped up. And, do know that it might come back, when Mercury goes retrograde, later in the month. Mercury, after all, is in charge of Saturn (and his behavior) these days. Or maybe you will change your mind. But for RIGHT NOW, say so long and get moving down the path towards your next chapter of life. Move on down the road. And choose love.

Monday, the morning features a void moon as we adjust to the Finger of God energy set off by the Moon in Leo over the weekend diving into the South Node. Something big is leaving your life! Moon in Virgo, over the next few days, has a busy, bustle and go-go-go energy which allows you to get a great deal accomplished. Moon has productive and quite profound aspects to launch things. Sun forms a lovely earth trine to retrograde Jupiter, just starting on his journey backwards as well as a sextile to Uranus ~ pay attention to inspirations and ideas. Take note of any dreams you woke up with ~ do take the time to record them even if you don‘t feel like you have a moment to spare. Mars is in a bit of blind spot to Saturn so be careful driving and watch out for other folks who may be preoccupied or not paying attention to what they are doing. Its an accident prone kind of day. Sun is approaching his square to the nodes so this is one of your choose with love days.

Tuesday, Moon still in productive Virgo ~ attack that to-do list. The lovely trine from moon at the end of the day to Venus in earth promises a lovely evening energy of laughter and joy. Venus does have an adjusting energy to Pluto on the world axis. Sun squares the nodes so this is one of your choose with love days.

Wednesday, Moon is in Virgo in the morning and moves void for a good 12 hours. Sun squares Neptune. Choose with love! Don’t be disillusioned ~ understand it was for your greater growth. Neptune makes aspects with the nodes too ~ declination ones so we can expect action on earth. I keep getting imagery of balloons popping and things collapsing ~ the air let right out of them. Pallas at the last degrees of her journey in Aries trine to retrograde Juno suggest marital or partnership negotiations are a bit volatile. Push that smart Pallas Athena to pull out all the stops ~ Mars has changed signs so she’s ruled by proud and brave Leo. Folks may be in the mood to roar. Pay them no mind. Keep pushing for what you want. Mercury and Sun both have aspects of brilliance with Jupiter and Pluto respectively ~ follow your intuition on what to do ~ even if you can’t explain exactly why your intuition is telling you to do it. Follow that little voice or sense of light. Think back to what you said you wanted to start to create last December when Jupiter and Pluto were joined. How can you further that? It may tie back to that too. Just follow your inner voice or guidance ~ it is clear and good. Choose with love.

Thursday Moon in Libra aspects Pluto and Mars in the early morning hours indicating a rocking and rolling night of dreams. Again, note them upon awakening. Moon in Libra is figuring out what the plan is ~ Venus as her ruler has been (and will be) quite busy this week as Taurus Sun and Venus are squaring the nodes. Seek balance in all efforts today. People are going to be a bit cranky but choose love. Libra moons have an inherent diplomatic touch, so pull in all your skills and push them to negotiate towards what you are trying to accomplish.

Friday Venus argues with Ceres ~ no, your mother wouldn’t approve. Don’t tell her. Choose with love. Mars gets into the act with an aspect of brilliance with Juno ~ partner creatively with that intuition or idea from yesterday. Make sure to take action on it. Venus has a union with Pluto today suggesting financial or value or love issues need to be addressed in a clear and concise manner. Open up any triangular situations so all can see them. No secrets ~ Pluto gets extra power with secrets or by two against one. Open up the triangles.

Saturn’s day finds Venus arguing with Chiron ~ also hanging out at 21. Quite a convention of planets at 21 these days! Chiron as our wound (and a very SENSITIVE WOUND it is) and Venus as our desire for love are arguing. So our desire for love about something we value gets hurt today or activates our very sensitive wound. So make sure to be kind. If something leaves today ~ particularly if it leaves in a huff or with a slammed door ~ be patient. People are going to be thin skinned and oh so prickly and sensitive. Moon in Scorpio often jumps to conclusions before it has all the information it needs to make a true conclusion. And, on a bad day, it concludes the negative version. Again choose with love. This is one of those days you might need to watch the you tube clip twice. Remember Mars is now in Leo, ruling that Scorpio Moon, so the emotional energy is more huffy and puffy with a touch of pride, hurt feelings or loyalty issues thrown in.

Sunday Venus sextiles Uranus and trines Jupiter as she squares the nodes offering her a choice. Remember part of the reason you made the decision you made in 2000 was to move yourself forward on your path. Listen for wise words from a Gemini as Saturn forms a quintile aspect with Ceres. The Gemini observes things and doesn’t miss much ~ they will suggest how you might help the situation. Choose love. Mars will ask Ceres what she wants to do about the situation. Remember Ceres can be very kind ~ growing, nurturing, caring ~ but she also is mother nature in her dark form ~ everything dies to make way for the new to be born. Thus is the nature of life. Choose love.

Mundane: Yes to the reader who asked if the cyclone in Burma/Myanmar was the Neptune diving into the North Node. Burma was born on Jan 4, 1948 at 4:20 am in Rangoon, Burma “the hour having been chosen by Burmese astrologers as auspicious.” The independence ceremonies took place before dawn in bright moonlight in the capital according to The Book of World Horoscopes by Nicholas Campion. It is interesting to look at Burma as an elected chart as the astrologers placed the malefic planets in the 9^th and the 7^th houses. Transiting Uranus in Pisces is approaching a square to natal Uranus and transiting through the 4^th house, bringing danger from the ever present sea. The transiting nodes and Neptune are square to natal nodes at 22 Taurus in the 6^th house. Natal Saturn is at 21 Leo receiving the energy of loss from the transiting South Node as well as the inconjunct energy of a Scorpio type from transiting Uranus in Pisces ~ death and destruction from the sea. Mars in Cancer reentering the ecliptic after his many month long journey out of bounds, is at Burma’s latitude of 22 North.

As Mars finally moved into Leo, the family fight in the Democratic Party taking place while it was in Cancer will start to settle down. Obama faces very tough transits at the end of the month of May, between 23 to 27, when transiting Uranus opposes his natal Mars in Virgo.

Sun and Venus setting off the Nodes full of energy from Neptune diving into them will make the stock markets particularly volatile. Look for information on Taurus ~ money, food, earth issues, commodities ~ to be the trigger.
